Director Organizational Development. Human Resources Admin - Business and in Atlanta, GA

Under the general supervision of the Director of Learning & Organizational Development, the Director of Organizational Development (OD)works with management to determine and implement strategy for OD across the University. The Director of OD researches, recommends, creates,and directs best practices and trends to influence effective organizational development solutions, both University-wide, as well as at thedepartment/division/school level, and for small team interventions. The Director works with key stakeholders and University leaders toprovide organizational development consulting to Emory University schools and departments. Consulting responsibilities include providingindividual, team or organizational assessments, retreat design and/or facilitation, leadership coaching, onboarding and leader acceleration,performance management, leadership and staff development and team development. Leads and directs the work of others. Consults with keystakeholders to support execution of the organization's talent management strategy. Coordinates identification, time line, and resourcerequirements for University-wide and department-specific talent management projects and initiatives. Manages performance improvementprojects and initiatives and ensures alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate within HR to coordinate interventionstrategies. Creates success measures, monitors progress and provides follow-up to ensure development solutions effectively address businessand individual needs. Designs, develops and facilitates workshops, and recommends and implements changes and improvements as needed.Provides performance consulting and leadership consulting and coaching to maximize staff contributions and performance. Administersbehavioral assessments and 360 feedback surveys upon request, providing feedback and coaching as a result of the feedback. Leads theUniversity¿s initiatives related to climate/engagement surveys/assessments. Facilitates design, implementation, and administration of suchassessments, and designs and facilitates processes to enable appropriate follow-up action on these assessments. Evaluates, selects, andserves as liaison with survey vendor(s) to ensure timely and accurate administration of survey. Collaborates with Communications to executeon survey communications, marketing, and education efforts. Serve as the chair of the HR Assessment Committee. Designs and conductsassessment of individual, team and department needs. Deliver workshops as part of LO&D professional and leadership development programs asneeded; occasionally provides customized, on-site training aligned with client's strategic priorities. Leads and/or consults onUniversity-wide change efforts to ensure success, e.g., performance management inititivies, competency development, etc. Perform otherduties and projects as assigned. Master's degree in Training, OD, Human Resources (or related area) along with 8 to ten yearstraining and/or OD experience; PhD preferred. Extensive experience in leadership coaching and administering, interpreting, and providingfeedback on a variety of behavioral assessments, such as 360-degree feedback, Birkman Method, DiSC. Must have demonstrated ability toquickly assess organizational culture and implement appropriate interventions. Excellent consulting, facilitation, presentation andrelationship-building skills required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Must beable to work collaboratively within the University and effectively manage projects. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of anorganization, from front-line individual contributors to senior executives. Management experience required.
